The Handbell Choir is a non-auditioned handbell ensemble available to all FCC adult members and non-members. While this is primarily a choir for adults, enthusiastic ringers under the age of 18 may be accepted into the group, after consultation with the Director of Music.
We are always looking to add both novice and experienced ringers to our ensemble! Simply send Ryan Endris, Director of Music, a message via our contact page, and he’ll arrange a time to talk with you about joining.
There is no audition to be in this ensemble, but basic music notation-reading ability is a necessity. Exceptions may be made, however, for those with particular enthusiasm and determination to learn! Regular attendance at rehearsals is a necessity for the success of this ensemble. Ringers who are unable to attend a rehearsal must notify the director and coordinate a substitute with him.
The Handbell Choir rehearses from 6:30pm-7:15pm on Thursdays for six weeks at a time. The Handbell Choir presents in worship at both services 2 or 3 times per semester. The group plays on four octaves of Schulmerich handbells and two octaves of Malmark handchimes.
