The Men’s Vocal Ensemble (MVE) is a seasonal, non-auditioned ensemble available to all male FCC adult members and non-members. We gladly encourage the participation of male singers under the age of 18 whose voices have already changed, as well. This repertoire of the MVE consists primarily of gospel and Barbershop arrangements, with the occasional traditional male chorus song. The MVE is under the direction of R. Ryan Endris, Director of Music. This is a great opportunity for novice singers to “get their feet wet” and enjoy the fellowship of a unisex choral ensemble.
Joining this ensemble is quite easy; no audition is required! The conductor may, however, ask to hear you sing simply to determine which voice placement is most appropriate for you.
The 2012-2013 rehearsal/presentation schedule for the MVE is as follows:
- Sunday, December 2: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, December 9: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, December 16: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, December 23: Rehearsal 8:00am; Services at 8:30am and 11:00am
- Sunday, February 10: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, February 17: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, February 24: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, March 3: Rehearsal 8:00am; Services at 8:30am and 11:00am
