The Women’s Vocal Ensemble (WVE) is a seasonal, non-auditioned ensemble available to all female FCC adult members and non-members. We also allow the participation of female singers under the age of 18, after consultation with the Director of Music. This repertoire of the WVE consists primarily of traditional choral music written specifically for treble voices. The WVE is under the direction of R. Ryan Endris, Director of Music. This is a great opportunity for novice singers to “get their feet wet” and enjoy the fellowship of a unisex choral ensemble.
Joining this ensemble is quite easy; no audition is required! The conductor may, however, ask to hear you sing simply to determine which voice placement is most appropriate for you.
The 2012-2013 rehearsal/presentation schedule for the WVE is as follows:
- Sunday, October 21: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, October 28: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, November 4: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, November 11: Rehearsal 8:00am; Services at 8:30am and 11:00am
- Sunday, April 14: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, April 21: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, April 28: Rehearsal 5:00pm-6:00pm
- Sunday, May 5: Rehearsal 8:00am; Services at 8:30am and 11:00am
