At First Christian Church, we are pleased to offer our space to both affiliated and non-affiliated individuals, groups, and organizations. Groups that currently use our space or have done so in the past include many 12-step support groups, Bloomington Watercolor Society, Universalist Unitarian Church Choir, and Indiana University. We have a number of spaces, from our Sanctuary and Great Hall to any number of smaller classrooms, that are available for rent on a one-time or recurring basis. Requesting to use our space is easy! Simply download and fill out the request form below. Then, return it to us by fax (812-961-0227) or attach it to your message on our contact page. You are welcome to visit our church during regular business hours to tour our facilities.
When completing the building request form, please be as specific as possible. Your needs will be considered in determining the appropriate venue for your event or meeting, as well as determining the rental fees. If you are a non-profit organization, please be sure to indicate this on your form, as we will take this into consideration when determining rental fees. Our staff meets to evaluate building use requests every two weeks, and you will be contacted directly after we have reviewed your request.

About our facilities
Our sanctuary boasts seating for 250, a 3-manual Reuter pipe organ, a 7′ Yamaha grand piano, a public address system with wireless microphones, and beautiful limestone architecture and stained glass windows.
The Great Hall is an excellent space for large meetings of up to 150 people. Immediately adjacent to the Great Hall is a commercial-size kitchen, complete with several refrigerators/freezers, large cooking range, oven, and much more. We also have table linens, ample dishware and utensils available. We have both 6- and 8-foot rectangular tables, as well as a number of round tables.
A room that once was the church’s chapel, the Chapel/Gathering Space has been converted into a reception area that can accommodate approximately 60 people. In addition to your choice of rectangular and round tables, we have a cozy sitting area with couches, end tables, and a large coffee table. While this space does not have access to a kitchen, we do allow food to brought in and served in the Chapel/Gathering Space.
The most intimate of all our rooms, the Fireside Study can accommodate small groups of up to 12 people. The Fireside Study is ideal for those looking for a private, quiet room to have a meeting, study group, or other small event.
We have a large number of classrooms on the lower level of varying sizes. Some classrooms can accommodate as many as 40 guests, while others are smaller and can accommodate fewer than 10. These rooms are ideal for support group meetings.
