“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)

At First Christian Church, we take seriously this challenge by the prophet Micah. Our ministries of kindness and justice include:

  • Serving breakfast each Sunday morning to our neighbors living in poverty
  • Building homes through Habitat for Humanity
  • Offering overnight winter shelter to our homeless brothers and sisters
  • Mentoring families who are working hard to escape poverty
  • Giving food and clothing to impoverished neighbors
  • Providing low-cost meeting space for 12-step addiction recovery programs
  • Participating in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “A Day On, Not a Day Off” Activities
  • Supporting a pharmacy in Congo
  • Working with community partners to provide permanent, supportive housing for our homeless neighbors

If you feel called to serve the Christ by engaging in any of these activities, please contact us.

As we offer kindness to our neighbors, we offer care to the Christ himself. As Jesus said, “As you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40)
